My mom and dad used to keep a collection of silver dollars in metal BAND-AID® boxes.
Once in a while, my dad would get them out of the cabinet and let us play banker. We'd sort them by date and pretend we were Jacob Marley.
They always said, "Some day you kids will have these". Well, I never ended up with any of the silver dollars, but I guess it really doesn't matter -- because having them would never make them as valuable as they were.
The other night, I dreamed I used a vending machine that dispensed Morgan Silver Dollars as change. Now that's an idea.
