Yesterday, I cut the hostas back and placed new mulch around them. I washed the tractor, cleaned the air-filter and greased all the fittings -- it still looks pretty good for a machine with over 150 hours on it. I did a little metal work and patched a hole on the Ferrari Tercel. Earlier in the day, I took a thirty-mile bike ride which included three rather steep ascents. I'm slow and determined but do realize that, with over 470,600 hours on myself, age is a significant factor.
As much as I enjoy autumn, I feel a progressive pang when the leaves begin to rust.
