Dakhma

Every year, instead of simply putting my Christmas tree out in the front for garbage collection, I take it to the woods behind the house. I always like to imagine that out of its demise, something may flourish. Maybe a rabbit will use it for a shelter or a bird might take some nesting material from it. Whether or not they do, it doesn't really matter nearly as much as the way it makes me feel.

Here is my little cemetery for the trees.
