I keep a cardboard lid in the corner of the living room for cat playthings. It's interesting to note just how far they scatter and drift from the box as a function of time. Of course early on, the distribution is somewhat tight but ultimately as days pass, an expected number of toys will be on the 2nd floor and down in the basement.

As a principle of particle entropy, it is intuitively obvious that cat toys tend to disorder even when not influenced by a bad cat, but surely an empirical and quantifiable entropic variable of disturbance must exist. It will require further study.
