As far as the bottom of Coke bottles and as close as white bed linen
Coca-Cola used to come in 6-1/2 oz bottles. The bottoms of the returnable green glass bottles had various cities stamped on them. For reasons I don't quite understand, it always set my mind to wander when I'd see a bottle that was made from somewhere new or far away. I liked to imagine just how a returnable bottle made in Dallas Texas, made its way to a small town in Ohio.
Now I see bed sheets with many different hospital names printed on them and it has me imagining what complex of set ambulance-hospital combinations had to occur for a sheet from Atlanta, Georgia to end up in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
But really, it is more about the people than the objects.
