Years ago, I installed a gas fireplace in the bedroom for Marie and she always raved about how warm it made her feel. Tonight, after I did yoga, I turned on the fireplace and stretched out in front of it. I could hear the ticking noise that joined sheet metal makes as it is heating and it reminded me of how more than 45 years ago, I would stand over my grandmother's registers in her kitchen and hear that same great sound. Obviously, it isn't quite real wooden logs crackling over an open fire, but the effect is pretty much the same.

I bought a mega-roll of Gorilla Tape today -- completely on impulse. Now I want to find something to tape.
