Grass and Plants

This time of year, as the woods become dry and sparse, the deer get much bolder. In the mornings now, I see all sorts of hoof-prints and scrapings strewn through the mulch. They did a great job on the hostas this week -- which I would have cut back anyhow.

There are two moms, and two 'teenage' fawns. I think about them being hungry and cold in the winter.
