Unsubstantiated Product Review

I keep my house reasonably tidy and I'm often looking for ways to keep it that way with less effort. There are products that purport to make this so -- some of which work and some that just seem to horribly complicate the basics of simplicity. It gets great reviews on Amazon but I can't help but think that the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Toilet Cleaner is not something that would make my life any simpler.

The device consists of a small tower that is placed next to the toilet. Not to be gross, but after a few weeks, the tower itself would need to be cleaned of all the things one typically finds in and around a toilet bowl. Then there is this small tube that fastens to and runs over the lip of the toilet bowl, just under the seat. I can imagine cleaning the rim of the bowl would become much more of a complicated procedure because of this added hardware.

Sure, I could press the nifty foot pump and watch it spray chemicals all over the inside of the bowl and that might keep the inside of the toilet bowl looking and smelling chemically fresh, but what about the rest of the porcelain? Heck sakes, the bowl part normally takes only a few swishes with a bush.

So even without directly trying this bathroom device, I give it a solid thumbs down as I contend that it would only ADD to the time and cost of cleaning.
